Critiques
The colours complement each other and the white is actually white (no grey). It has a wonderful impact on the eye and draws you into the flower's yellow centre because of the very well place composition of the flower head.
The only thing letting it down is that you can see the string or twine holding it in place. The stalk should have just faded out of the shot in the lower third of the vertical or the shot should have been a little tighter to crop that out.
I have seen a few similar shots, but that does not detract from this great picture. It is fantastic in it's simple elegance!
